Joker, cross beak amaracauna. Pullet or Roo?

    About 8-10 weeks old if that helps. I was told amaracauna at the store but they say that a lot.

    And chances are the store was told that by the hatchery - very common issue with EE being passed off as something they are not. Ultimately, if what you are looking for is colorful eggs it isn't a big deal (in fact it can be a good thing as EE are more common, easier to get and cheaper than true Ameraucana) -- if one wants a true Ameraucana they are better served either using Meyer (they sell true, blue Ameraucana *and* EE) or, better still, a reputable breeder.

    Looks like a pullet to me. And it is actually an Easter Egger.

    I was never too concerned about the breed, she's a funky lookin chicken and I like that. Either way, I'm happy she's around, or he as it may be.

    Let me look through some pics and see if I have a side shot. If not I'll take one tonight.
