Jubilee Orpington stoped laying 10 months

Hi New to chicken in keeping my babies are 10 months old small flock of four .my head hen Has all the sudden stoped laying for about a week she looks great still eating not sure if it could be the thunderstorms were getting here in South Florida she doesn’t seem to be overheating in the shade but it has been hot any suggestions?Thought it was interesting that the last thing she had was in the run where she’s normally very private in the box

You might try putting out gallon (bottles) of frozen water that your birds could lean up against to cool off or use "misting hoses," near them which helps cool off the air somewhat.

Also add shade (natural or artificial) to help them keep cooler.

She may be broody if she stays in a (nest ?) box. If she is, she will stop laying eggs, as well if she is molting. I live in Florida too. Some of my birds have been slowing down but some are also starting their yearly molt and most won't lay through their molts. Good luck and have fun...

Some breeds will take a break and some not. My Rhode Island Whites are pretty prolific layers as well as my Leghorns. My Rhode Island Reds will take breaks.
