    JULY MYSTERY EGG SWAP
I want everybody to feel that they can join and that the eggs will be sent. This is why a deadline is set.

IF YOU DON'T THINK YOU CAN GET YOUR EGGS OUT ON TIME, DO NOT SIGN UP!

Please make sure that you are ready for eggs when you join this swap. It is not possible to wait for your incubator to get empty.

There have been problems in the past with people not receiving, or not informing 'us' that they have received, their eggs.

Please people, make sure you post here when you receive your eggs!!

There were a few problems with previous swaps, but for the most part, everything has went well.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Disclaimer
This swap is not endorsed by BYC (owner, website, staff, etc.). The BYC Staff is not responsible and will not mediate if something goes "wrong" or a deal goes "bad". If you choose to participate in a swap, it is best to know who you are swapping with and not to swap more than you can afford to lose. The BYC Staff is sensitive because some past swaps have not worked out. We want our members to feel comfortable having fun with these and other social interactions, but please keep in mind that there were issues with some organizers and swappers not following through on their commitments in the past.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The rules

So big rule #1 If you have mixed you will probably only get mixed
#2 You can NOT pick a certain breed
#3 All swappers must be signed up by NOON on JULY 10th
#4 The eggs have to be in the mail on or before JULY 25th
    a. If you are unable to send your eggs on time, you must contact me, or you will be banned from future swaps!
#5 YOU MUST ACQUIRE A DELIVERY CONFIRMATION NUMBER AND PM IT TO ME
#6 Everyone will be required to send 6 eggs except for those sending goose, turkey or peafowl, the min for these is 4. You're welcome to send more. Please try to send the cleanest eggs possible.
#7 Please package the eggs carefully. Individually wrapped and secured so they have the best chance of surviving the trip.
#8 Due to previous problems, only active members of the BYC community are eligible to participate at my discretion
#9 If you fail to fulfill your obligations on this or any other swap, you will be unable to participate in future swaps
#10 PLEASE PUT "JULY EGG SWAP" IN THE SUBJECT OF YOUR PM

#12 MIXED COLOR PARENTS ARE TO BE CONSIDERED CROSS BREEDS

This is going to be so much fun. Is their going to be a problem with people that cannot have things other than chicken? Just a thought. I know that this would be a minority. I can't wait for sign ups.

All I am going to know is where you live and if your eggs are pure or mixed. I hope those entering realize that they could get quail, duck, geese, pheasant, peafowl, chukar or chicken. PLEASE NO REPTILE EGGS - POULTRY ONLY.

Those of us with a real hatching addiction will hatch anything and doesn't let the hot temp back us down.

I am gonna ask that everyone keep this swap secret.
Don't tell who you're sending to!
Don't tell where you are sending!
Don't tell what you are sending!
    Don't mark the eggs!!

When your eggs hatch post pictures and let everyone guess what they are!!

Just a quick question. Will the eggs be marked which breed? If not how will we know how long to incubate them? This may be a dumb question but I just had to ask.

You could number the eggs and include a note stating incubate 1-3 21 days and 4-6 28 days.

    By the way, I'm in x 2

Thats fine. You can post here that you plan to join. We'll ask the person sending the eggs to send a note on how many days to incubate. Most will know by looking at the eggs. Oh wait, maybe not. If you've only ever hatched chicken eggs then you may not know the incubation dates on quail, etc. Those are in for a treat cause hatching quail is fun, fun, fun.

Quote:Awwww really my fiance would love some alligators. lol. I told him once that I would hatch whatever he wanted and that was the first thing he asked for. I told him I couldn't get them and it was like I told a little kid that their favorite puppy died. He was so sad. Kept asking for different types of reptiles and I finally told him it had to be a bird. So on a side note anyone got any reptile eggs? lol.
