    Hi,

What type of predator just leaves a bunch of feathers, and nothing else?

One of my reds, the last one, is gone. All I found was a bunch of feathers. No body, no blood. The birds are in a large, fenced run.

This is the first year I have lost full grown birds to predation. All was good until this heat wave and drought. I have not seen a whole lot of rabbits, so I thing what ever is hungry is going after my birds. I only have a rooster and two hens left. Time to buy some more!

    Thanks!!

The top is not covered. It's the size of a 4 car garage. The only coverage is trees.

Time to get rid of the predator before getting more chickens.

You need a net covering or you'll loose them slowly. They make netting in all sizes mine is 20 x 30. No more hawks taking my brids. If your area is too big you might have to down size.
