Just an update....old hen Lacey is healed, omg, from puncture wound

    (big hole in crop and 3" circle tear on crop) and all I did was rinse wound and apply massive quantity of honey(plus feed her honey) and am stunned at her healing. She is a 6 yo Speckled Sussex and a pet so shes beating the odds with all of the boo boos shes endured the last couple of years. She had a huge cyst on her face that I took her to the vet for, few months ago(and that cost tons and can't do that again) and they just gave antibiotics and tried to lance it(which served no purpose) so am glad this worked out.[​IMG]

    That's awesome that she healed. I'm nursing an injured hen right now, and it does my heart good to hear positive endings.

    Always.And , of course, it WILL end but you pray its from natural causes(human terminology!) and not a predator attack or falling off the roost or something. But you try your best. Hope your hen responds well!
