It isn't getting hot enough. I lined my sides with foil to help the temp rise. I'm currently at 95 degrees. Does anyone have any ideas on how to help me jump up an extra 5 degrees?

What kind of light bulb you using? My first incubator was a cardboard one. I poked holes in the side for ventilation and used a 75 watt bulb on a dimmer switch. Make sure you don't use those eco bulbs or energy saver bulbs. They don't emit a lot of heat. To raise the temp use a bigger bulb or higher watt bulb.

Thanks for the response.

My bulb was an extra that I found in a drawer. I'm not sure what watt it is. Maybe I'll find something higher.

Also, my humidity is way high. How do I lower it?

Do you have a lot of water in the incubator? Humidity depends on the amount of surface area the water takes up. So maybe get a smaller bowl to put the water in or remove any sponges or paper towels if you are using them. Also make sure there is proper ventilation. Extra humidity will escape through this ventilation.

I just took all of the water out and the humidity is now slowly dropping.

I also lined the entire inside with foil. It helped heat the box up quick!

Thanks for everyone's help!
