    This is Clovis. He's ten months old, and gorgeous.

    He's a mongrel offspring of two of our pure-bred (large-hatchery quality) chickens. A hen went broody and produced a few chicks, including Clovis -- who was definitely her own offspring. Any experts out there feel like hazarding a guess as to his parentage?

    (I know the answer, but posted this because I think it's super-interesting how different characteristics emerge when you mix different breeds.)

    I will give hints if necessary, and an answer in a couple days. [​IMG]

  6. Omg!!! How Old Is He? How Long Did It Take For Him To Get That Big? Please Take A Picture Of Him Next To A Hen So I Can See How Big He Is Compared To A Hen. One Of My Roosters Looks Just Like Him And I Have Been Looking All Over For What He Is!!!!

    I highly doubt a white leghorn could produce that color offspring. Almost all white leghorns have dominate white gene, unless you got lucky......
