I used to think Roopert was very much uneasy around me, always keeping his distance, and always watching me with his stink eye --> O-o
    BUT!!
Today was the first day i let them completely free range 1. they are loving it!!! and 2. Im a nervous mess...
Anyway, I went out on my 30th check up of the day, and did my typical call of "Peep-Peep-Peep" Well who do you think went flying around the corner, went airborne and then fluttered at my feet in a fluff of feathers? ROOPERT DID!!!
I know he was just looking for food, but oh did I feel the love at that moment [IMG]

Awww...such a sweet story! I think he does love you and I think the boys sometimes just show it in a different way that the hens do!

That kind of behavior makes one feel special.

Roos have funny ways of showing you they love you, but it sounds like your boy simply adores you. No worries there!

Oh yes I am quite glad, I have heard how some roosters are nasty, and it sounds like yours is not so...gracious of your presence?

I think roosters are more needy than hens....much like male dogs seem to be more clingy once they develop a relationship with someone than female dogs.
This may not always be the case, just my experience.

I'm glad your roo made you feel special.
Such a small gesture from an animal can really brighten your day!
