My kids and I are having a blast watching these chicks.

Just thought I'd share a little happiness and excitement.

Australorps are such sweet birds, very friendly and calm. Have fun with your babies!

I just got two of them and two Buff Orpingtons....I am waiting on the feed store to get some green layers and I am gonna get 4 of them....So that will be 17 chickens for me [IMG] These little chicks are the cutest things...I love hearing them in there peeping [IMG] I try to hold them every day and love on them so that they will be used to me handling them.[IMG]

I loved my BA Matilda and was so heartbroken when she got sick and died. Luckily, I had a BA pullet chick growing up at the time, and now Molly is following me around, telling me chickeny stories, all the same adorable behavior demonstrated by Matilda.

BAs are GREAT birds. So pretty in the sunlight, too, with that beetle-green sheen on their black feathers!
