I just rescued this chicken she is a salmon faverolle but the she was in a pin with 6 rosters and some guinea hens and they tore her up. So far she's been pretty calm but she hates people and I'm trying to get her to get more calm around me any suggestions. I have her in with 3 Rohde Island reds a americana and a Plymouth Rock. [IMG] so glad you have joined us.

She needs your patience and TLC. She has had a very stressful history, but with time she should get accustomed to the friendly human.

You might care to get her a hen apron, it helps damage from rooster overbreeding, to heal. I don't know why she would hate people when it's other poultry that were attacking her. Maybe her people weren't very good to her either.
