Hello to all fellow BYC members! I am a newbie. Never had chickens. Just put together the coop - MTN Gearsmith 98" chicken coop and my 3 pullets are due to be ready to pick up mid August from a local farm. I am getting a Black Star, Cream Legbar and an Olive Egger. I am going to be looking for lots of advice and encouragement in my new venture!!

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. Black Stars (Black Sex Links) are great birds; hardy, friendly, egg laying machines. I have had them for years (still have them), and they have consistently been my very best layers. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

Welcome to BYC. I agree with Michael OShay about Black Star's...one of my two favorites.
