Ok, so it was only for an little while. One of our Mini Rexes (Sandy) hopped over the divider into the neighboring pen (there WAS a small gap at the top that I thought would aid ventilation). We put her back into her pen the next morning (as soon as we noticed) thinking nothing of it. Well, two days ago she started pulling fur and this morning...we have new babies!! Pictures and details to come. I am not even sure how many there are, but she had a very nice nest. (This is not her first litter, but it is with us.)

Congrats on your surprise babies!!

They certainly seem very healthy. We got the mother from a gentleman who could no longer care for his rabbits (health reasons). She had four kits with her at the time. She is a good mother.

...and yet another surprise. We did not want to intrude too much the first day. Yesterday we looked a little closer and there are actually FIVE of the little buggers. (We only saw four the first time.) But, they all appear to be fat and healthy!
