I know so many 2x4s are overkill on my run, but a family friend built it (I paid him well) and he was sooo nervous about getting a call from me in a month or so and telling him something got into the run and got my ducks, lol. He didn't want to be responsible! So, better safe than sorry. notice my daughter has on a cast on, she fractured a growth plate in her ankle :p. The kid will not stay off her leg!! driving me crazy. I should just record myself yelling "SIT DOWN!"

Wow, that is really well made. I thought I did a good job, you spent a fortune in hardware clothe, but nothing is getting in there short of a bear or a mouse. Very nicely done. The birds should be very secure. The only thing I would change is the lock...a coon could get that open with enough time.

Quote:Well Since they brought it mind sharing the cost of materials??I love it I think that is what I am looking at building minus a few 2x4's and the cloth a must becasue we have alot of skunks and coyote's...

Maybe you could threaten your daughter with a sling, like they use to keep horses from putting weight on leg injuries. Just kidding. Kids have all the energy it's hard to stay still or sit down.
