    I am just starting out raising chickens and have found a ton of useful info from this site, figured I would sign up and start posting my experiences.

    We lost 3 this weekend to my wifes dog. my 3 yr old let him in the basement and the dog killed 3 of them.

    The best way to raise chickens is when dogs/cats and birds NEVER MEET. Fun for them but, the chickens always end up dead.
