Just starting

    Hello,I'm new to byc. I'm going to tenn in the morning to pick up some chickens.haven't made up my mind yet what kind.i was thinking of light Sussex or production reds.any help would be appreciated.

    Do you have a coop?

    Besides that for starters you will need:

    Medicated chick starter crumbles or pellets
    A feeder (or two)
    A waterer (maybe two also)
    bedding
    a COVERED run (unless you choose to free range)
    A heat lamp (optional)
    roosting bars

    And I think that's it.

    Has anyone dealt with poultry hollow?i'm going there in the morning.

    Get the light sussex!!!!

    OR some of both. I loved the light sussex and have a lot of speckled sussex.

    Buy only if they look healthy. good luck.
