Not all chickens and not all of my animals by any means! [IMG]

Son #2 snuggling with our long haired mini dachshund pup, Westy.

My sweet jersey woolie baby, Little Boy Blue. (The sun in the picture washed him out, but he is blue with blue eyes.)

"You are the WEIRDEST chicken I have EVER seen!"
"Yeah, well...you don't make the prettiest rabbit, either!" [IMG]

    Sargeant, Sara and Clarabelle

More of the three black cochins

Banana ~ who decided to go broody because mama forgot to collect the eggs for days.

Taffy ~ who figured if it's good enough for Banana, it's good enough for her! She TRIED to sit on the nest with Banana, but she'd have none of it so Taffy is sitting on TWO eggs. I'll be donning gloves tonight to sort the eggs between the two so I don't lose my fingers. [IMG]

And my sweetheart kitty, Romeo. He was a cat that we adopted from a no kill shelter that was being closed because they were not taking care of the animalss. Before us, Romeo and his brother Oreo never knew any life except shelter life. Oreo is very shy, but Romeo is a lover and absolutely adores everyone. He purred and talked to me the entire 1 1/2 hrs home from the shelter and I named him Romeo then. Little did I know what a true love he was, but I definitely picked the right name! [IMG]

    Thanks for looking! :)

They're all beautiful, Cindy. I have a stray cat I've started feeding because he seems to have claimed my place as his own. He's solid black and seems a bit thin-I can see his hip bones. I call him Smudge and hopefully, he'll be my mouser for awhile. I fed one stray for three years then he disappeared-I think dogs or a fox got him, sadly.
I'm hoping for a broody myself soon.

Thanks Cyn. :) I feel very blessed that Oreo and Romeo "chose us" to bring them home. (Long story that I won't go in to because it sounds hokey. hehe) We also have Molly & May that we adopted from a feral cat program as barn cats. They were raised around humans, but their mom was feral when she was brought in and they got a bit of their feral ways from her, plus they are tabby x bengal and the bengal doesn't help, either. They stay around the barn and yard, but just never got used to people. They know where mama (me) and feed is, but they just prefer not to be close to people. (Which is what the rescue guy told us when we first told him we wanted a few and to set us up with the ones that he thought most needed a home and may not find one otherwise.)

    Here are Molly and May

    And this is Oreo

Thank you. :) My black cochins are from Judy Gantt. Well, actually, Clarabelle was our Spring 2007 baby, but her parents were from Judy. We've since lost her daddy (Captain), but Sargeant is very similar.

[IMG] Your animals are so cute. I like the picture of your long haired daschund. We have a short haired one with a funny personality. Gets his feelings hurt so easily. We have enjoyed him. My mother has a feral cat, Sandy. She looks just like the one in your picture with the tiger looking coat. We don't pet her much!! Your chickens are beautiful! Love the rabbit too! Such unusual coloring.

Awww! The kitties are so cute. Oreo looks just like my son's cat Augie. I have 3 cats and the last one, Toby, is one that came to our house last summer nothing but skin and bones and semi-feral. It took me weeks to get him to come near me and every time I thought I could get hold of him to take him to the vet he skedaddled. I finally made him a house cat and he is the most loving of my three. He puts his front paws around my neck and thanks me every day for saving him! [IMG]
