Kamikazee chickens at the woodpile

    Finally got cool enough to split some firewood and sure enough, our flock of clucking vultures were quick to figure out that every time I split a chunk of wood the bark would flake off exposing some tasty, grubby creepy crawlies for them to dash in and snatch up. Bet they won't be so quick to the chopping block in a few weeks when theyre done fattening up![​IMG]

    The goofballs have also learned to chase the lawnmower around. One got under the deck after a grasshopper but fortunantely only lost a few feathers from the ordeal.

    Aren't they fun to watch. Chickens are non-stop eaters [​IMG]
    The grasshoppers are here now and the hens zig and zag and zig some more!
