Welcome to BYC! As said above, it is quite possible that your non-layer is getting things in gear at this point. Is the "odd color" of the egg you are getting now in line with the expected egg color for her breed?
 
Yes it is,a little smaller than the other ones too. I had two of these eggs laid 4 days apart which seems pretty normal for a first timer I think.
 
Thanks, nothing odd just different from the others. I have a buff orpington,an australorpe,a Rhode Island white and a Rhode Island red. The red wasn't laying yet. I'm very involved with my girls and each one's egg is a different color but consistent. So when I got the "odd"egg, I had to wonder if My RIR was laying and if that was even possible.
