Keeping horses cool with apple sauce

My older horse loves it nice and cold ! Just remember to stand back it gets messy.
My horses also seem to enjoy cold watermelon. I only know because my gelding came up behind me while going to give go chickens and he stole it from me.
I would have never thought. I mean I used to have a horse that loved beer and ham sandwiches. Then another that loved peppermint candies and would curl them in his tongue and suck on it.
But watermelon is funny to watch them eat. I need to shower after the apple sauce but was a good laugh.

LOL I often do warm treats on cold days but rarely do I feed cool treats on hot days... Perhaps because we rarely have unbearably hot days in western WA!

Regardless of the day my retired guy loves saltine crackers though, which cracks me up. And my Hanoverian goes crazy over starlight mints and candy canes

My one gelding LOVES watermelon, so much so he goes into a watermelon trance and starts drooling before he even gets any...............

One of my horses thinks any new food treat is 'medicine' and goes and hides.

The other one thinks that horses should eat EVERYTHING. Cannot even go past that one with something for the chickens.

That one ate a banana.
