Keeping male and female quail together

We are looking at purchasing upwards to 10 or so quail and were wondering if in a ratio of 1/4 (or 1/3) male/female they can all be kept together. Or if we need to keep them in 2 separate groups.

You can keep then in one covey if the ratio is right. If you have any issues you can separate the culprit and even reintroduce. They do need their space if course.

I have heard you want to do 1/4 or even 1/5 over 1/5 fertility drops though, but males might fight so if possible do two enclosures.

If the covey is raised together and they have enough space you can have as many roosters as your ratio would dictate. When you have multiple roosters space is key or you'll be down to one in no time.
