I have a coop with my girls that will be strictly for egg production. Should I keep my meat birds separate? I'm new at the meat bird concept so any help would be appreciated.

If you can you should. Are these Cornish Cross? Cornish at a certain age if not properly clean can cause Ammonia which is harmful to your birds. Laying hens will not create as big as a mess as those monsters will. Also if you are doing Cornish Cross keep in mind that you won't have them past 7 weeks.

I got a white broiler female. I was thinking I'd need a separate enclosure, guess I was right! Thank you so much!!
