    Hey everyone,

I am wanting to get back into the chicken game. I used to have them at my old place a few years ago, but I have since moved to Keizer Oregon. There has been a chicken ordinance allowing for 3 hens per household since around 2011. I just looked at the permit and its a little ridiculous. It requires a 10 foot setback from ANY adjacent property lines. I live on a smaller lot and this isn't possible.

My close neighbor and I are good friends and is cool with having chickens next door, the other affected property line is an apartment complex approximately 30 feet away from the property line. There are large arborvitae and the apartments have no windows or vents facing that directions.

Am I not going to be able to do this? The ordinance does not seem flexible at all, but most new housing is on very small lots, and you are only allowed to have three hens.[IMG]

Here is my coop that I plan on taking apart and putting back together

Anyways just looking for some guidance on what others in the area have done, or what I should do next.
