    Persistent Kestrel finally got my little blind Barred Rock. I was so sad. Life just has not been the same since. Always watched...was in the loft bringing down hay. The Crows, which I feed to help me keep an eye on things, all let me know, but I got there too late.

    Sorry for your loss. Kestrels are beautiful birds, but NOT when they're preying on your beloved pet.

    Correction....after further review, it was a Cooper's Hawk, not a Kestrel.

    ya coopers are birds eaters sorry to hear you last a bird
    ive got sharpshins that buzz my bird feeder every once and awhile
    a kestrels eats mostly grasshoppers and the occasional mouse

    i had a rescue fledgling kestrel as a kid he was real cool fed him tons and tons of grasshoppers until one day he just few away [​IMG]

    Yeah, Kestrels can't take down a BR... [​IMG] I'm so sorry about the bird, she sounded like a sweety
