I had a question about the breed. I have 6 of them. I was dead set on thinking I had 5 drakes and 1 duck (there are other females, just not that breed). But now I'm second guessing myself. My question is: do khaki drakes look any different besides the head color and tail curl? Theyre almost 3 months old. Some have green bills while others have brown bills. Feet all kinda look the same. I can get pictures after dinner. Oh and I'm horrid at using their quacks to figure it out

The easiest way I have found to determine the gender of my Khaki and Khaki crosses is by looking at the feathers above the tail. Solid, dark feathers are found on the males and two-toned lighter feathers are found on the females (see photo below). I suspect those with green bills are you're males.

You can tell by their tail feathers usually like @cheezenkwackers said.
And for their voice a drake will sound almost like he is gurgling water (well thats how it sounds to me) and a duck will quack loud.
You can post a video of them talking if you don’t know how to tell by their voice :D

This is qhat I could get tonight

Wow. Amazing.

Thanks for this.

I wanted to follow up and ask, how reliable is looking for a green bill, to find the males?
