Thanks to the Las Colcheras Quilter's Guild in Las Cruces, NM, who fixed our binding and resized the whole thing, then machine quilted it for us! It took a long time to make, it was a kit that had a few squares done, I did a lot of squares, the kids did a lot of squares, but we couldn't do it alone because we didn't know how.
The top when we finished it:

The finished product! Outside in the sun, and inside in the cafeteria.

The stitching on the back, it's tan with a pretty print.

The dark red square in the center,, this does NOT show the color well though!

Light blue and pattern around square:

The back which is a light tan with a pretty pattern.

We are trying to decide if we should try to raffle or flat out sell our quilt to raise funds for the club. What do you think?

I think a raffle. Say, 1 ticket for $2 or 3/tickets for $5; by selling only 250 ticket you could raise a max of $500 or a very min of $417 (@3/$5 you would sell 249 tickets for $415 + 1 ticket for $2 = $417. The more single tickets @$2, the higher the $$ to a max of $500) AND you could sell more than 250............ [IMG]

By the way, it's a teriffic looking quilt!

Thank you for that suggestion is sounds great. With just the pre-sign up sheet for next year to see how many kids I'll have 48 have sent back the sign up. We will have more kids to supply so we'll need more funds, but thank Heaven's we get so many wonderful donations! This next year we are going to try and get ironing boards and useful items like that plus batting and backing fabrics. We also have the crochet and cooking side of the club to take care of, they didn't get to do too much this year, but next year will be better all the way around.
