No, we're not swapping the actual children here! This is going to be like a monthly swap.... You sign up one time for each child. You can include grandchildren, neighbor kids, neices/nephews, etc, but please follow the rules and remember that YOU are responsible to get the package(s) shipped to the other children.
Each package must include a short written letter (written BY your child) or a picture (drawn by your child) and $5 worth of "goodies" that will be suitable for your swap kid. If you get two children from the same household, you must send each child their own package with seperate postage and include a delivery confirmation number. The package can contain used (but LIKE NEW and USABLE) goods or goodies from flea markets or dollar stores. This isn't so much about sending kids a christmas present, it's about giving the kids something exciting in the mail. Items can be DVD's, small toys and trinkets, edible goodies, crafty items, etc. I will PM you a list of three interests that the child has to help you out. Please send at least two items (on top of the letter/picture) for each child. The Dollar Tree (or other dollar stores) and flea markets are GREAT places to find fun, inexpensive trinkets.
To enter, please PM me with "Kids' Swap - (Your username)" in the title line and in the PM, please include the address the package(s) need to be sent to. For each entrance, please include the child's name (first only is okay, just so that it can be addressed to them) age, gender, any allergies and three interests. This (with your address) will be given to another participant so that they have a better idea of what might interest your child.
I will match children up as best I can so that the age groups are similar (a 17 year old might get a 14 year old, but won't be getting a 4 year old).
I will leave signups open until 12 noon, Eastern time, Tuesday, April 30th. I'll be stuck at home all day, so I'm hoping to have everybody matched and have participants receive their swappees by the 1st.
ALL packages will have to be shipped by Wednesday, May 15th. When shipping, you must PM me the delivery confirmation number for each child's package.
ALL participating adults must be in good standing with other swaps... Remember, this is a kids' swap, we don't want any little ones feeling disappointed that they sent a package and never received one in return. If for whatever reason you cannot mail your package on time, PLEASE PM ME BEFORE MAY 15th!!! You may withdrawl at any time before signups close.
