kind of live trap you have? good? bad?

are all live traps created equal? i think not. i just wanted to ask the thoughts of some of you who have them. do you have success?

for example, havaharts, and many other types of traps won't catch rats.............

this is just an example.

my issue isn't rats!! so i don't want to start a thread about catching rats.................

I have 2 Havaharts style traps. They work ok. I add hardware wire to stop stealing bait. Ryan

I have three different sized Havahart traps--the problem is making sure you have the right size trap for the critter you're trying to catch. If it is too small they won't go in or it won't trip and too large they may escape before the trap closes. More of the former than latter. The trick is to get the trip weight just right.
