knot on neck- QUIESTION

One of my girls has a rather large knot on her neck - the knot has is making her head push off to the side
she seems to eat ok and act ok - we have checked the knot and mashed on it - it does not seem to hurt her
any idea what this could be ?
I am worried its some type of cancer growth or disease - and do not think we want to eat her eggs


would apprecitate any info
