Hello from Knoxville, Tennessee. My name is Andrew Hodge and I live on a 60 acre cattle farm. My newest hobbies is...... You guessed it....... Raising chickens. I am trying to juggle this while going to college to become a veterinarian, go figures. We started our flock about 3 weeks ago with 5 heritage Rhode Island Red hens and have added an Easter Egger and White leghorn since then. We are always looking for ideas on what breeds of chickens to purchase or raise next so all tips and advice are appreciated as we are new to this. Thanks

You've started out with a great laying flock! Now for the fun ones. You can check around different threads on certain breeds..pick one...and see what you can learn about them.
Want fancy? There's a few of those around.
Want bantam>? There's a few of those around. I love the silkie bantam and the cochin bantam myself. Have fun!
