Large brown balls inside egg?

So I cracked open one of my hen's eggs this morning when I found 2 large brown balls next to the yolk. They were way bigger than blood spots, about 1/3" diameter. Any idea what this could be?? WEIRD!

I just did a search and it sounds like what is called a meat spot. It is caused by a ruptured blood vessel or other problems with the oviduct when the egg is forming. It is safe to eat.
