LARGE egg (Pics)

    My Leghorn hen has been laying for a few weeks now. But most of her eggs seem to be double yolks.... yesterday we got a surprise.... a triple yolk! Today we found this GIGANTIC egg in the laying box.
    I put it with a standard brown egg and one of the leghorn double yolks. I feel sorry for my poor girls backside.........

    She's eating fod pellets and scratch grains, and the occasional worm and bugs... nothing more...lol
    I do feel sorry for her though...lol You can hear her from the other side of the yard when she lays....lol

    I got one of those huge eggs today as well. The white ones are Polish eggs, the other brown eggs are the eggs she laid the days before and then this monster today. Weird how that happens. I hope its a double yolker. She is a buff orpington that just started laying ten days ago and has already given me seven eggs.
