I’d swear it wasn’t there this morning. She’s acting completely normal. Aside from a weird stretch she’s doing with her neck. I attached a photo. Please tell me this is healable/fixable is it her crop? How do I help her?

That’s the food stored in their crop. 100% normal. :)

I am betting she's got a full crop.

If you are giving anything other than just chick starter be sure to have chick grit available.

Try massaging it, and adding warm compression like a wet washcloth with warm water on it. Hope this helps, keep us posted!

I’m still new with chickens, what do you mean by crop? Is crop like her throat or something?

It shouldn’t need any intervention. I would not recommend this on a healthy chick who had eaten and isn’t impacted.

The crop or gizzard is a special organ that holds and digests food for the bird, similar to a stomach. It contracts and breaks bigger pieces down throughout the day and night.

Yes yes, I am sorry. I haven’t had this happen before. I’m still in the mist of studying. Thank You for the help. When I get new babies now I’ll know if they happen to get that. Very much thanks.
