She crowed twice around 12 weeks, I posted pics then and everyone said "rooster".

She never crowed again and here she/he is now. Tomorrow is our last day to bring her back of she's a he.

What do you experts say?

Looks like a hen to me. When it crowed, was it upset? I had a hen crow when she was upset about a new chicken being introduced.

she does have a lot of green on her back, but no apparent saddle feathers, no pointy neck feathers, the comb still small and light pink

I'd be willing to be she's a she!

Speckles and Freckles at about 5 weeks or so. (Granddaughter named them - Teehee!) Even at this age the differences were easy to see. Speckles was a cockerel, Freckles a pullet.

Same positions - Speckles left, who spotted a fly, Freckles right. I think they were about 5 - 6 months old here. Of all the chickens I have, they were the easiest to tell apart, even early on. Freckles carried a lot of green in her wings and near her tail.
