Late hatch

Someone is incubating eggs for me and 5 of 6 have hatched so far. The 6th one hasn’t even pipped yet. They were all moving on lockdown day. Just wondering how common it is for one to not pip when it was alive on lockdown day. Still hoping she’s just a late Hatcher. They all only just hatched.

Sometimes chicks will quit during lockdown, it’s not uncommon. Give it a couple more days though, like you said it may just be late. Last time I incubated I had a couple that made it to lockdown but never hatched, and one that didn’t even pip until a full day after everyone else had hatched.

Thank you for your response. I’m still hopeful but surprised to hear that it happens often that in three days something goes wrong, but I guess a lot or anything can happen.
