I'm nearing the 48 hour point when my duck egg had external pip. I'm aware it can take some time to hatch, my question is it unusual for multiple others to hatch in about half the time? I can see inside the egg and it is still opening its mouth. I can't imagine it is a humidity issue if 3 others hatched with no effort. Could it still just be absorbing the yolk?

Yes, it sounds like it could still be absorbing yolk. This one may be a little behind due to factors like being in a cooler spot in the incubator, or there may be something else going on.

Has it made progress on widening the pip now?
