This is my seconded time hatching and out of 17 eggs 6 have hatched and are healthy 3 days late. I had one hatch but never moved died after an hour, and 2 others piped through the shell but then died because they busted their egg yokes. So after everyone hatched and dead ones thrown out I had 3 eggs left in the incubator. I float tested them nkne of them moved and candled them and saw no movement so I proceeded to do an eggtopsy on the remaining 3. I took precaution and only made a viewing hole in the air cell and they were all perfectly formed chicks with more blood vains and yolk then to be expected and one of them was moving. What has caused them to be so far behind and do you think the 2 coild be alive and just very still?

[IMG] Late hatchers are a sign that the temps in the bator were lower than required. What kind of incubator (make/model) are you using and is it forced air/still air? What were your temps during incubation and humidity the first 17 days? If you are three days late, not seeing any movement with no internal pips I would not hold out hope. Sorry to hear you are having trouble.
