The neck outstretched lying on the ground with green, loose droppings sounds like botulism to me. If you can get the bird to drink, mix a tablespoon of Epson salts to 1/2 cup of water and get as much as you can down the birds throat. I used soft aquarium tubing attached to a syringe and gently pushed it about an inch past the back of the throat. Then gently inject it and it goes straight to the crop. Do it twice a day and if it isn't too late, the bird should be back on its feet in 2-3 days. I sure hope he can be helped. Good luck my friend.

Try what I mentioned unless some other diagnosis comes up and there's some better advice. I think it is botulism. Don't use Sulmet.

Sulmet is very hard on the kidneys. Is this the same bird you think has Mareks?

I am confused, did the vet make a mistake or can one have Mareks and botulism because of poor body condition?

How old is the bird, how many in the flock, and was he vaccinated?

And is there any way he may have bonked his head?
Polish, as well as Silkies, are very prone to head trauma, because of the vaulted skulls.
Any other roos he may be fighting with?
