Lavender Marans x Black Copper Marans?

Hi All!

Does anyone know what you'll get if you cross a Lavender Marans Roo with a Black Copper Marans Hen? We have a broody hen hatching a few of these, as well as what will be some 2nd Generation Olive Eggers, so I'm curious- Will all the chicks be Black Copper and potentially carry the self-blue gene but not present it?

In a chicken color calculator when putting lavender roo with a Black copper hen you get 100% black unicolor self/E
But, there are many genes involved. this is about the pure colour so they might turn out completely different!

E = Extended black, hackle, shoulder and saddle of the males may leak ground color (eg red) depending on unknown absent genes.

You will likely get black with some leakage. All chicks will be recessive for lavender.

So interestingly enough, the BCM x Lavender Marans chicks have this brown coloring coming in on their wings. They have feathered legs, like usual. They are cute as can be! Is this just leakage?
