I purchased 5 lavender orpington chicks from a local hobby hatcher. Nice clean pens, VERY nice and healthy birds. The Lavender Orpington pen looked to be all true. My chicks look right, but I noticed that two of the chicks have mostly yellow beaks with a few black spots. Is this normal coloring for a Lavender Orpington chick? Will it change as they get older? Is it an undesired trait or just part of a normal chick for this (unrecognized) breed?
