OK...last time I do this......with this batch of chicks anyway. [IMG]

    Last opportunity to guess genders!

I've appreciated everyone weighing in on my threads with these chicks at various stages. Doing one last poll as 3 off the chicks in these pictures will be rehomed tomorrow morning. We are keeping Red. Her name will be Violet.

First up...Red (on left) and Lefty (on right)

Next up we have Righty (on left) and No Band (on right).

I agree. They both look like little boys.

Thanks everyone! I'm thinking cockerels too for the chicks in the bottom two photos. What about the two in the top three photos. Those I'm thinking pullet for those two...

I didn't realize that they were different birds! I think you're right. Red and Lefty both look like hens to me.

Its difficult to see Red's head, but the other three on first impression I thought rooster. The first one on the right I was a bit more unsure, but the way it is standing says roo to me. It also has more red on the comb than I would expect for a pullet of that breed.

I think of the four, your best bet for a pullet is Red, but it will be interesting to see how he/she develops as she grows. These larger breeds can certainly give me a run for my money, even after doing this for so many years!

The on one the right in the top pics...the comb & wattles aren't as red as they appear in the pictures. These little ones are sure giving us a run for our money. Righty and Lefty were rehomed today. They are still together. Would be great if Lefty is a girl so the new owner could have a breeding pair.
