I have three Lavender Orpingtons that I purchased from a local breeder about six weeks ago. The seller said they were about ten weeks old at that time, so now they are about 16-18 weeks old or so. Can you all look at these photos and tell me what sex you think they are? I think the taller one from the picture with the three (the bird in the middle) may be a cock but not sure. (I am posting two more pictures of this chicken alone that may be clearer...it is a very tall bird!). Thanks in advance to any help anyone can provide.

Are the first 2 pics of the same bird?

The three in the last photo look like cockerel to me, but clearer close-up photos of each bird could help be sure of this.

Yes the chickens in the top two photos are the same bird. Just slightly different poses. It is the middle chicken in the bottom photo. I will get some close up pics tomorrow and post them.

All cockerels. If you paid for pullets, you need to have the seller make it right for you.

It's okay. Even though I would have preferred at least two pullets out of the three, I have six smaller Orpingtons. Surely some of those are females. So I'll just use them for breeding.

No, I bought them as unsexed from a guy who told me upfront that he had no idea of their sex. So they were not misrepresented.
