I have 9 Lavender Orpington’s that are about 6 weeks old. Any ideas how many are cockerels and pullets? Any help would be great. I plan on keeping one or two of the guys so I want at least a few to choose from.

I believe I have 4 cockerels in the group. What do the experts think??

I was going to say three cockerels, but might as well say four and maybe be pleasantly surprised down the road! [IMG]

It's kind of hard to keep them sorted in the pictures. But you look to have pretty close to 50/50. I usually tell by the color and development of the wattles. As an example, in the fourth picture that is one of each.

I am on the fence with the fourth one. It could really go either way. It has less red and a smaller comb then the other 3. It is just nice to get a second, third, etc opinion.
I would be very happy if I have 50/50. I want to keep 1 maybe 2 if I can talk the DH into it [IMG] A few of the pullets will go in with a split black to lavender orp roo.
    Thanks for the help.
