I HAVE TO RELIST THESE AS THE WINNING BUYER DID NOT PAY

Lavender silkie Pullet #32. about 5 months old, vaulted scull, big crest and nice shredding of feathers, rich lav color. correct number of toes (5 on each foot) but left foot 1st toe is folded over (does not effect her) and I think she is missing one toenail on her other foot. She, like all the other lavs being listed is still full of pinfeathers and still has a lot of filling in to do. Sorry she is so dirty in pic.
Se previous auctions for parent pics.

I am not certified but I have had a closed flock/s for well over a year now and practice very strict bio security. All of my birds are raised on certified organic feed and using natural organic methods although everyone is vaccinated for Mareks disease as day old chicks and kept isolated for 15 days or so. Contrary to what some believe the vaccination for Mareks for chickens is actually the turkey strain. When introduced to turkey mareks the chick is able to develop a resistance to the chicken mareks if kept isolated from it for 10 days. Vaccinated birds are not carriers and can be kept in a mixed flock with both vaccinated and non vaccinated chickens with no ill effects.

She will ship in a new box express with shredded apples for the journey. I will only ship weather permitting on both ends. I have 24 hour heat pads and will be fixing one to box. I also have shipping waterers and will use one if the express trip will take more than 24 hours for an additional $2.50 if wanted, they are really useful and reusable. I welcome pick ups! Cost of shipping with box is $50.

It is all very confusing. I had some birds go there and they took 4 days. I can only say that if it was not for the quick actions of the buyer they surely would have died. a week later I get a message from a po worker to call the manager at my branch. he tells me I have birds in quarantine and to contact this person at a certain number. I tell him I no longer have any birds in transit but that some did get "lost" and took 4 days to arrive. He says to call so I do.

The person he tells me to ask for does not exist. The person who helps me is from npip certification (?) they have no idea what is going on but agree to speak to the manager for me. I ask if I need any certification to ship chickens in the US and they said I do not and that they would speak to the PO manager. They said they would call me back if I wanted to get certified and to touch base. They have and I will call back today.

Anyway I never heard back from the PO

yesterday when I went to ship some to Vegas I was stopped and the Manager was called. he relayed the message that I can ship but not to Ohio, that they were no longer accepting birds.

I have no idea why, it makes no sense but I cant ship there until I figure this all out. I hope to in the next day or so.

Sorry for the long explanation.
