Lavender Silkies????

    Is there such a thing??? If so- does anyone know were I could get some baby lavender chicks????

    Yep, I've seen them. Very beautiful color. My friend is a reputable breeder and showman in Michigan, and she's breeding them right now. She's got chicks now, but she waits until they're about 3 months old before she culls any of them. I'm planning on getting a few when she does. Not too many people have them, and even fewer have show quality ones.

    Ideal farm had them this year. You may be able to get some from them. The quality may need some work or you need to order extra to cull the worse ones. Also Rainbow Silkies has some and Fawkes silkies has them also but need to get on their want list. It may take a while till you will be able to get some like next fall but well worth it for the quality. Harry

    Yes, there is such thing. It is also known as self blue
    they are very hard to come by (for show quality anyway)
    if you just like the color and breed and dont care about
    quality you can order some from Ideal Hatchery.
