I got four chicks from Meyer back in September - all pullets, supposedly. This EE started out the same size as the others but quickly got much bigger. She/he is 14 weeks old now. I kept telling myself that the odds were on my side that it was Laverne and not Larry. Today, though, I looked carefully, and I'm afraid there is no denying that I have Larry instead of Laverne. Do you agree?

That tail looks awfully suspicious to me. I had the same question with one of mine, and he was definitely a Larry (but his name is Frank)

I would go with Laverne. I think a he would have more developed facial jewelry. As long as I'm not seeing saddle feathers. If I am, I am stumped.

Quote:Not an EE cockerel. MY boys have very small, almost nonexistent wattles. And that color pattern, along with those pointy hackles say roo to me. It also looks like some saddle feathers are coming in.
