I just purchased 0.83 acres with a single family residence. The land is zoned for 1 horse or 2 goats or a variety of other animals. All I can find with regard to chickens is the limit of 3 for this county. The previous owners had 25 chickens. I want more than 3 but probably not more than a dozen. Anyone else in Alameda Co. raising chickens and knowledgeable of the laws here? Do I need a permit? Many thanks. Dave
