Lawn was fertilized by lawn service by mistake

early this morning our lawn service (who we told no more treating the back yard) came and did treat the back yard. The paper says stay off for 2 or 3 hours. Is that long enough? My ladies are complaining that I didn't let them out of their coop this morning.

It's really a matter of what specific products were applied to the grass. Also, contact (you staying off it for 2-3 hours) is different than consumption (what they will do). Does the paperwork state what products were applied? If you don't have anything showing what was applied, contact their office and ask them to tell you what was applied - you can then review the information for each chemical, product, etc and verify the safety instructions for livestock.
