Is there harm in treating for cocci?? They do not have blood in their droppings, but at this point I am desperate. It is runny in the chickens that have died. My buffs are fine, but my older birds I am losing at a rate of one per month or so.

Go to my post that is a bit lower in this part of the forum that says Another hen dying, HELP! And you can read all that I have to say about what is happening in my chicken population.

    Suggestions are so welcome.

Have they been wormed? Usually, by adulthood, chickens are immune to the oocysts in their soil that cause cocci.
