I kept trying to Google it but it just kept kicking out small breeds and ye olde list of awesome layers. *sigh* I guess the interwebz can't fathom that I want little eggs! Can you suggest some breeds that are consistent layers of small eggs? (Not the teeny peewee eggs like bantams lay)

The lists linked above are really good. I can say that the hamburg chickens I had years ago were consistent layers of medium white eggs. Flighty.....kinda, good fliers too and pretty birds.
That's one of the breeds that stopped me in my tracks back in the day. Gorgeous!! Thank you for the suggestion!
My Sicilian Buttercup lays a small egg that's a pretty Rose Quartz color. Her feathers are so soft they feel like velvet. And she has a lovely sweet personality.
I second the Sicilian buttercups. I have two, and they are so pretty, with the spangled feathers and fancy comb. They are pretty decent layers too, of small-to-medium size eggs. The small eggs in the pic are theirs, compared to a brown egg from a Wyandotte and then 2 duck eggs on the far right.
