Is 12-14 eggs a day a good laying rate for 18 three year old hens. Just wondering how the gals are holding up for their age. They are in no danger of being soup chickens since they are also pets and will live out there natural lives with me. Just curious what others get a day from their older hens, thanks.

Same here; I have a young flock, but I would and will be happy if that is my average when my hens are that age. I hear they lay larger eggs as they age as well?
